    Thanks for visiting Jennifer Mossman Photography! I am a natural light photographer in the St. Louis area specializing in family, newborn & senior portrait photography. I met up with this lovely family at Botanical Gardens for a family portrait session! It was cold outside…brrrr!! But we had to capture Isabelle, their youngest, at her special 1 year moment so we found a pretty building to shoot indoors and moved to a nearby park to finish up. The kids were absolutely amazing as always! We were warm & toasty inside the greenhouse style building and we grinned & bore the cold for just a short period of time at the park. I’m so happy we got this session in and didn’t try to reschedule!! Sometimes you’ve just gotta go for it!!

This family is the best!!! I love photographing them every year & I can’t believe how big the kids are getting. Alison & Josh have been my best friends for many years & that just makes photographing them even more special! I changed Max’s diaper long before I picked up a camera…lol! I have watched their relationship grow stronger every year & their beautiful family being built! I’m so thankful for them and their faith in me to capture their special memories year after year!!!

This might be my favorite session to date with Kara, John, Sloane & Paige!! We had such good luck with the weather & it was just a beautiful evening. The first thing Kara said was “I let the girls choose what they wanted to wear this year.” They are growing up after all & they both have their own unique style. I was so happy that they chose the outfits that they were comfortable in that showed off their unique personalities! If someone is comfortable then it shows! And this makes for better images so I’m all for it! So the question arises, what if my child is comfortable in athletic wear & pajamas only lol? If that’s the case, parents I say give them choices! Instead of letting them completely choose their outfit, give them a few options so at least they have some control. Then they’ll be more excited about getting their photos taken & it’s a win for everyone!!!
