I was honored to photograph Chris, Julie, Lauren, Grace & Claire last summer while Chris battled cancer.? You see, Chris and I go way back.? We have known each other since high school and have always been close friends.? He was a prankster, would do anything to make you laugh, and made everyone around him smile always.? With a heavy heart, I have to say that Chris lost his battle with cancer just 6 months and 3 days after these photos were taken.? I think of him every day and the lives he changed in his short time with us.? I am glad that I got to take these photos of him and the people that meant so much to him…his beautiful wife, Julie, and their precious girls, Lauren, Grace, & Claire.? I don’t think I’ll ever understand why God took him so soon, but I do know that he had such a positive effect on so many people.? His life mattered, and he will always be missed and remembered.
